Gold Award Celebration 2026

Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we celebrate the incredible achievements of our 2026 Gold Award Girl Scouts at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines! 

The Gold Award is the highest honor in Girl Scouting, recognizing girls who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership, acted on issues they care about, and made a lasting impact in their communities. This special ceremony is dedicated to honoring the Girl Scouts who have earned their Gold Award this year. 

During the ceremony, each Gold Award Girl Scout will be formally recognized and presented with her official Gold Award pin and certificate in front of family, friends, troop members, and volunteers. It’s a moment to celebrate years of dedication, service, and leadership. 

 Tickets & Admission 

• Gold Award Girl Scouts receive free admission for themselves and two guests. 
• Additional guests may attend for $10 per person. 
• All tickets include admission to the zoo, so guests are welcome to explore and enjoy Blank Park Zoo as part of the celebration. 

Registration Information 

The registration link will be sent directly to each Gold Award Girl Scout and their parent/guardian. They may then share the link with family and friends to invite them to be part of this special celebration. 

Due to space and capacity limits, we are prioritizing tickets for Gold Award Girl Scouts and their invited guests. If space allows, tickets will be opened to additional Girl Scouts at a later date. 

Communication to Gold Award Girl Scouts will be sent the week of March 22. 

Continue the Celebration! 

Those who would like to celebrate our Gold Award Girl Scouts are also invited to attend the Sisterhood Social, a celebration of Girl Scout achievements. This is an open-house style reception following the ceremony.

The Sisterhood Social will honor our Gold Award Girl Scouts while also recognizing our Bronze and Silver Award Girl Scouts and celebrating our graduating seniors. Together, we will highlight and celebrate the many accomplishments and achievements of Girl Scouts throughout the year.

Attendees do not need to register separately for the Sisterhood Social if they are already registered for the Gold Award Celebration.
