This dynamic two-summer adventure is thoughtfully designed to meet these goals based on the resources of leading child development experts\, Girl Scouts of the USA and the American Camp Association. This isn’t just a program; it’s a life-changing experience that prepares you for many leadership opportunities in the future. \nIn CIT 1\, you’ll dive into the world of leadership. You’ll explore your unique leadership style\, learn to be a responsible and inspiring leader\, and better understand important program goals and issues facing youth today. You’ll also learn about child development\, outdoor living skills\, teamwork\, conflict resolution\, and how to create positive experiences for younger campers. \nIn CIT 2\, you’ll take your skills to the next level and become a leader among your peers. This session includes a week where you assist trained counselors in leading younger campers in activities and outdoor skills\, giving you hands-on experience in running camp programs and working with different group dynamics. This is your chance to learn to be a well-rounded and successful camp counselor. After finishing the C.I.T. program\, you will be eligible to apply to be part of the camp staff next summer. \nCITs will have a break from Friday\, August 1\, 2025\, at 1:15 p.m. to Monday\, August 4\, 2025\, at 1:00 p.m. During this break\, CITs must leave camp. It’s your time to relax and recharge before coming back for more exciting adventures! \n(Grade level for registration is the grade your Girl Scout will be entering in Fall 2025)

You’ll learn the basics of sailing—from key skills and terms to hands-on practice on the water with our awesome instructors. You’ll also spend time canoeing\, kayaking\, paddle boarding\, and more at the Waterfront. With your friends and counselors\, you’ll paddle across the lake for an overnight campout at a nearby state park! Back on land\, sharpen your aim in archery\, conquer team challenges on the low ropes course\, and\, for campers entering grade 7 and above in Fall 2025\, take on the high ropes course for an extra thrill. Get ready for a week full of wind\, water\, and unforgettable camp memories! \nCampers should feel comfortable in deep water while wearing a lifejacket and have strong basic swimming skills.
