Join us on a five-day and four-night trip to Northern Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area\, where you will tackle a week of primitive camping and get the chance to explore the natural beauty of the great Northwoods. Get ready for the adventure of sleeping outdoors in a tent\, canoeing daily\, and meeting some of your best friends. We’ll be paddling and portaging to a new campsite almost every night! The first few days will be designated for preparation and planning at Camp Sacajawea before our trek and travel trip. Note: Campers must be able to pass a swim test and tread water for one minute. \nHighlights of this session: \n\nGo primitive camping for five days.\nGo on an off-site camping trip to Northern Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area.\nCook meals over a campfire.\nSleep in a pop-up tent.\nCanoe from campsite to campsite.\nLearn about planning a backpacking trip.\n\nTravel Campers: All specialized backpacking gear is provided by the camp. SUMMARY:Trail Trotters\, July 6-11
DESCRIPTION:Guided by your horseback riding instructors\, you’ll work on your riding skills\, learn to groom a horse\, know what it takes to take care of a horse\, conquer a trail ride in camp\, create horse-inspired art\, and soak in more classic camp adventures like swimming in the pool\, and s’mores over the campfire! Make lifelong friendships by the campfire and leave full of memories and unforgettable connections with your four-legged friends at camp! Don’t forget your long pants and lots of socks. \nHighlights of this session: \n\nRide a horse each full day of camp (weather permitting).\nLearn to groom a horse.\nLearn about horse and barn management including tack.\nGo on a trail ride.\n\nEquestrian Campers: Closed-toed shoes and jeans are required for riding! Make sure to pack extra socks\, too. \n(Grade level for registration is the grade your Girl Scout will be entering in Fall 2025)

Band together with like-minded ogres to outfit your swamp and defend it against challenges and a mysterious group of villagers. We’ll get muddy (often)\, create nature-based art\, and entertain fairytale guests as we settle into our swampy spot. Enjoy other classic camp fun like swimming in the pool\, hiking\, arts & crafts and s’mores over the campfire. \nHighlights of this session: \n\nGo mud stomping.\nMake nature-based art.\nTeam up and create your own home/fortress.\nConquer team challenges.\nComplete a final villager challenge for the week.\n\n(Grade level for registration is the grade your Girl Scout will be entering in Fall 2025)
