DESCRIPTION:Youth Mental Health First Aid training teaches adult volunteers how to identify\, understand\, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among youth and adolescents\, ages 12-18. Using a blended format\, participating adults must complete a two-hour\, self-paced online course before attending this instructor-led video conference. SUMMARY:CANCELLED: First Aid/CPR Training- Iowa Falls
DESCRIPTION:GSGI requires each troop to secure a Troop First Aider\, a registered adult volunteer trained in First Aid and CPR. In partnership with the American Red Cross\, we offer a blended learning training option for volunteers. Once you register for a session\, you’ll receive an email receipt. One week before your training session you will receive another email with a link to complete your at-home portion (on a PC or tablet)\, which must be completed prior to attending the in-person skills test. Allow approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the online portion. \nFor the in-person session\, please wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to spend some time sitting or lying on the floor. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. \nRegistration Close Date: 9/26/25
