You’ll learn some basics of dementia such as what dementia is\, what it’s like to live with the disease\, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia. Everyone who attends is asked to turn their new understanding of dementia into a practical action that can help someone living in your community. The action can be as big or as small as you choose—every action counts! DESCRIPTION:The American Red Cross Advanced Child Care Training Online course teaches the knowledge and skills necessary to responsibly care for children and infants in and outside of the home. This self paced online course is ideal for ages 16 and up\, and includes training in leadership\, child behavior and discipline\, professionalism\, safety\, basic childcare (bottle feeding\, holding\, etc.). Learners will be engaged in virtual environments in which world-class animated characters respond specifically to choices made. Throughout\, learning is supported through additional activities and informative videos. \nNote: This program is not intended as certification for state licensed child-care providers and does not meet all state requirements for such certification. \nAll registrants will receive digital access to American Red Cross manuals Cross reference guides. Our littlest muddy buddies (ages 4 and up) can get in on the fun\, with our modified 1-mile course. Each vehicle in our lot at the GSGI Mason City office will have its trunk decorated and attendees can walk from trunk to trunk gathering goodies & enjoying festive Halloween decorations. Plus\, we’ll have fun Halloween-themed activities and SWAPS—so be sure to bring some for trading! Costumes are encouraged or come as you are! \nNo registration is required to attend the Trunk-or-Treat event\, but we’d love to know if you’re coming! RSVP to help us plan activities and ensure we have plenty of fun for everyone. \nRSVP HERE! \nIs your troop interested in hosting a trunk? \nJoin the fun! If you’re excited to decorate your trunk and provide treats to hand out\, please indicate this on the RSVP form! All trunks will be entered in our “best trunk” contest!
