You’ll learn how to build a wispy\, expressive background full of movement and color\, then add details that bring your night sky to life. For the landscape below\, you can choose to paint a cozy town\, a forest with mountains\, or your own unique scene to complete your masterpiece. No prior experience needed. 13+ \nEarly Childhood Music Exploration with Emily Roeder: Thursday\, February 19 5:30-6:15PM \nKids discover the joy of music through singing\, movement\, games\, and instruments. Each class builds rhythm\, coordination\, and creativity in a fun\, playful way. 3-6 \nIntro to Punch Needle Rug Making with Kat Hutchison: Sunday\, March 1 9:00AM-12:30PM \nLearn the basics of punch needle rug hooking by creating your very own smiley face mug rug that is 4” in size. You will learn stitch size\, how to space your rows\, how to punch straight lines and curves\, and how to clean up the front side of your rug and hemming techniques. All the tools you need will be available to borrow during class. This includes a 10×10 gripper strip frame\, a frame cover and #10 Regular Oxford Punch Needle. Bring your short (embroidery size) sharp point scissors\, if you have them. Punch needle rug hooking involves punching yarn down through the foundation cloth to create the loops on the underside of the frame. Learning this technique can allow you to create anything from a small trivet to a large rug. 14+ \nEarly Childhood Music Exploration with Emily Roeder: Thursday\, March 12 5:30-6:15PM \nKids discover the joy of music through singing\, movement\, games\, and instruments. Each class builds rhythm\, coordination\, and creativity in a fun\, playful way. 3-6 \nCoffee Cup Mix Media with Cathy Pinegar Sunday\, March 15 2:00-4:00PM \nIn this class you will create a colorful coffee-themed canvas. We will start by building a unique background using napkins\, tissue paper and lightweight ephemera with layering.  Then applying a light wash of acrylic color to bring the background together. The final step is to bring order to the composition by painting a trio of coffee cups on top. Whether you love a good cup of tea\, coffee or hot chocolate\, you will learn how to make your subject pop on the busy textured backdrop. We encourage participants to bring their own papers/ephemera for personal use or to share. 10+ \nAbstract Cactus Acrylics with Courtney Moller Sunday\, March 22 2:00-5:00PM \nIn this expressive painting class\, we’ll explore how to create a soft\, abstract background with wispy\, flowing color using acrylics. From there\, we’ll paint a stylized cactus topped with a bright\, blooming flower — a balance of structure and freedom that captures the beauty of the desert in an imaginative way. No prior experience needed. 13+ \nSpring Needle Felting Workshop with Megan Hammer Tuesday\, March 31 5:30-7:30PM \nLearn the art of needle-felting!
