Join us on September 23\, 2023 at Camp Sacajawea in Boone\, Iowa. \nYou’ll have a muddy good time as you trudge through the mud pits and through the woods. Our family runners (ages 8 and up) take on three miles of terrain filled with obstacles. Our littlest muddy buddies (ages 4 and up) can get in on the fun\, with our modified 1-mile course with pint-sized obstacles built just for them. \nIf you are also a member of Girl Scouts (girl or adult)\, you’ll save an additional $20 off the prices below: \n\n3 Mile Course – $60 per person ($40 for Girl Scout member)\n1 Mile Course – $40 per girl ($20 for Girl Scout member)\nAnyone who wants to be on either course must register and complete the necessary waiver\, which can be found on smoremudrun.com\nA t-shirt is included in the cost of registration.\n\nPlease note:\nGeneral registration closes August 28. All other registrations after this date will have a late fee. \nThere are no refunds or transfers. DESCRIPTION:Let’s get ready to rumble\, Girl Scouts! Come cheer on the Sioux City Bandits as they take on the Gillette Mustangs on Saturday\, April 29th\, 2023 at 7:00 pm. All Girl Scouts and their families are invited to attend the game for a fun night out with your troop. Girl Scouts and their families can purchase tickets for only $10 per ticket. \nThe Bandits will block off seats for you to be able to sit with your troop. The top two troops with the most tickets purchased will win one of two prizes: a VIP Meet and Greet Session before the game\, and prize number two will be joining the players as they run through the tunnel onto the field. \nGirl Scouts Night will also coincide with our Annual Kid’s Night which will feature a Petting Zoo starting at 4:00 pm on the Plaza in front of the Tyson Events Center Box Office. There will also be other games for kids available. \nThis ticket deal is only available by filling out this form and purchasing from the Sioux City Bandits Front Office. DESCRIPTION:The Greater Des Moines Chapter #80 of the National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC) is sponsoring the annual Block Kids competition\, a national building competition. The purpose of the competition is to introduce children in Grades K – 6 to the construction industry in an effort to create awareness of the many job/career opportunities in the construction industry. The goal of Block Kids is not only to plant the seed for workforce development\, but also to instill the sense of pride and accomplishment inherent in “building their project for real.” \nThis competition uses 100 building blocks\, a rock\, string\, foil\, and/or poster board as building materials. SUMMARY:Unclaimed Veterans Service
DESCRIPTION:With honor and dignity\, Hamilton’s Funeral Home\, in conjunction with the Missing in America Project\, humbly will secure a final resting place for seven individuals on Thursday\, June 16 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway. A service will be held at 12:30 pm\, followed by burial with military honors at 2 p.m. at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. A procession to the cemetery will go down Westown Parkway\, until Jordan Creek Parkway\, and then onto Interstate 80 going westbound. \nPlease come and join us for the service or stand along the route to pay honor to these veterans. We will go down Westown parkway until Jordan Creek parkway onto Interstate 80. We will leave at 1:15 to 1:30 pm. \nNo registration or sign up is required.
