You’ll meet real-life leaders of the judicial process and discover what makes our government tick. \nBy the end of the day\, you’ll have completed all the steps for the Cadette\, Senior\, and Ambassador Democracy badges. Plus\, we’ll make sure your school knows this is an experience you can’t miss. Need a letter for an excused absence? This is your chance to explore the world of government up close! \nSpend the afternoon touring the impressive Iowa State Capitol\, where you’ll see the magic of law-making in action. Learn how a simple idea can become a law\, discover how you can make your voice heard as an active citizen\, and meet some of the leaders who help run our state. \nPlus\, Girl Scouts will complete all the steps for the Brownie and Junior Democracy Badges. The badge and exclusive event patch are included in the event cost! \nParents and guardians\, please note that chaperones are required for this event. It’s a fantastic opportunity to share in the experience together!
