DESCRIPTION:Water Station F on the course of the Des Moines Marathon is reserved for Girl Scouts to volunteer. There is a sign up on the website for the IMT Des Moines marathon. Please sign up directly on the website. Click the link and scroll down to Water Station F – Girl Scouts. \nSign up here! \nVolunteer duties include setting up a hydration station\, tables\, cups\, and trash area. Cups should be filled with water for runners as they pass by the aid station. Additional cups of water must be filled\, while used cups from runners must be swept away and placed in trash receptacles. Communication with race officials to request other aid station supplies before they are needed is crucial. A teardown of the hydration station is necessary following the last runner. Volunteer Retreat 2024 is your chance to dive into the world of Girl Scouts\, enhance your leadership skills\, and experience camp life like never before. \nSaturday registration includes all training sessions and activities held on Saturday including breakfast\, lunch\, and dinner for $50. See below for more details about overnight accommodation and/or specialized training opportunities. \nWhat to expect: \n\nLearn from experienced volunteers and staff\nExplore Girl Scout traditions and the great outdoors\nGain valuable skills to enhance your leadership for your troop\nMake new friends while exploring Camp Sacajawea!\n\nSaturday’s agenda:  \nCheck-in and breakfast for our main training day begins at 7:30 a.m. with the official session starting at 8:30 a.m. During the day\, you’ll be able to choose from sessions on STEAM Activities\, Girl Scout Troop Accounting\, Girl Scout Events\, Girl Scout Traditions and Ceremonies\, Highest Rewards\, OR Leader Resources!
