CIT I: Camp Sacajawea, July 19-August 7
Sun, Jul 19 @ 1:30 pm
Ready to take your first step toward becoming a camp leader? In CIT I, you’ll dive into leadership basics while still enjoying the magic of camp. Learn how to plan activities, lead games, and work as part of a team with hands-on leadership experience. You’ll even help design and run your very own ‘Dream Week’ for campers! Build confidence, make lifelong friends, and discover what it takes to create unforgettable camp experiences.
This leadership adventure is based on the insights of leading child development experts, Girl Scouts of the USA, and the American Camp Association.
CITs will have a session break from 1:30 p.m. on July 24, 2026, through 1:30 p.m. on July 26, 2026. CITs must plan to leave camp during this session break. It’s your time to relax and recharge before coming back for more exciting adventures!
Scheduling accommodations may be made if a camper must miss a few days of this program. CIT I is not required to participate in CIT II, but it is highly encouraged. After successful completion of the CIT program, campers are encouraged to apply to work as camp staff prior to the summer they turn 18.
