Step into the center of Iowa’s democracy at Girl Scout Day at the Capitol!
Calling all Brownies and Juniors—get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of discovery, leadership, and hands-on civic fun on April 10, 2026!
Have you ever wondered who works inside the golden-domed Capitol… or how decisions get made for our whole state? Now’s your chance to find out! During this special Girl Scout-only experience, you’ll explore the stunning Iowa State Capitol building, peek inside important spaces like the House and Senate chambers, and uncover the journey an idea takes to become a real law.
Through interactive activities and engaging conversations, you’ll learn how to raise your voice, help your community, and make a difference. You’ll even meet some of the dedicated public officials who help shape Iowa’s future!
Best of all, Girl Scouts will complete every step of the Brownie or Junior Democracy badge, and the badge plus an exclusive event patch are included.
Chaperones are required for this adventure, and we encourage groups to register together so you don’t miss a moment.
Please note: Our event for older Girl Scouts—Capitol Girls, designed for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors—will take place at the same date and time. Girls should register for the event that matches their age level. Girl Scout Day at the Capitol is for Brownies and Juniors, while Capitol Girls is for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors.
Don’t miss this chance to stand where history is made, spark your leadership journey, and experience government in action!
Register by March 27.
