Incredible Women in Skilled Trades

Get ready for a morning of discovery, creativity, and hands-on fun! At Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa’s Incredible Women in Skilled Trades, you’ll explore the exciting world of skilled trades—and meet the amazing women who are building, creating, fixing, designing, and powering our world every day.

From using tools and trying new techniques to meeting incredible women working in trades like carpentry, welding, manufacturing, engineering, and more, this is your chance to step into their work boots and see what it’s really like. You’ll even get to test your own skills and creativity through fun, hands-on activities that show just how much you’re capable of.

Whether you love building things, solving problems, working with your hands, or trying something new, this event will open your eyes to careers you may never have thought about before—and help you see how you can become one of the next incredible women in skilled trades!

Every youth participant will receive an exclusive event t-shirt and patch with registration. Additional shirts can be ordered during registration!

Chaperones are required, so bring an adult along to join in on the excitement. Chaperones need to register and make sure you follow the adult-to-Girl Scout ratio as outlined in the Safety Activity Checkpoints.
