Printing Press Poster Making Pizzazz (Des Moines)

Join local artists Tammy and Adam Winn as they teach traditional print making! This workshop will introduce you to the basics of letterpress printing – typesetting, make-ready and press use. You will also learn some of the history of letterpress, and get a behind the scenes look at The Red Door Press shop and collection. Girl Scouts will then see how the printing press works, and get to make two Girl Scout themed posters to take home! This unique event is perfect for any Girl Scout interested in art, engineering, writing, or history! Let’s get pressin’!

*This event is for Brownies and Juniors. Chaperones are welcome but not required and do not need to register.
