Tanglefoot Yacht Club, July 29-August 3

Get ready to set sail into a world of adventure at Camp Tanglefoot! You’ll conquer the basic skills of sailing, including terminology, and maneuver through hands-on experiences with our incredible instructors. Feel the exhilaration as you navigate the waters in a fleet of watercraft, from the thrill of canoeing and kayaking to the whimsical ride on Corcls and the skillful balancing act of paddleboarding. Together with your friends and counselors, embark on a journey as you canoe across the lake to a state park for an unforgettable overnight campout. Sharpen your aim in archery, conquer team challenges at the low ropes course, and for our daring campers in grades 7 and up in Fall 2024, the high ropes course awaits—a challenge that will take you to new heights and test your courage. Get ready to ride the wind, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of a week filled with water, wind, and the thrill of camp. In order to sail, it is important that campers feel comfortable in deep water while wearing a lifejacket and have strong, basic swimming skills. Note: Adequate sailing wind is weather-dependent.
