Trail Blazers: Backpacking Yellow River, July 13-18

Get ready for the ultimate outdoor adventure on an out-of-camp backpacking trip to Yellow River State Forest in Northeast Iowa! You’ll dive into the amazing beauty of nature while learning important wilderness camping skills. This trip will include planning and packing the backpacking backpacks. Along the way, you’ll make strong friendships with your fellow explorers, turning each moment into a fun memory. The trip will take up most of our week, but when we’re back at Camp Tanglefoot, we’ll pack in as many classic camp activities as we can – like swimming and boating at the lake! Come be a part of this amazing camp session filled with adventure, friendship, and self-discovery with your fellow Trail Blazers!

Travel Campers: All specialized backpacking gear is provided by the camp. Campers will want sturdy shoes and must be able to carry a full backpack of gear while hiking through the beautiful and steep terrain.
(Grade level for registration is the grade your Girl Scout will be entering in Fall 2025)
