Girl Scouts are invited to create tote bags and backpacks from recycled t-shirts to support those attending the St. Vincent de Paul Resource Fair. This event serves as a beacon of hope for individuals experiencing homelessness, recently released from prison, or living in poverty as they work toward rejoining the community, the workforce, and self-sufficiency.
By transforming old t-shirts into sturdy bags, Girl Scouts can offer attendees a practical tool and symbol of resilience and second chances. Girl Scouts are welcome to include essential items like soap, hand sanitizer, dental floss, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant inside the bags to provide extra support and care.
Drop-off Details: Bags can be dropped off or mailed to 520 Army Post Rd, Des Moines, IA 50315. Please drop off completed bags by November 12, 2024.
