Water Station Volunteer – IMT Des Moines Marathon

Water Station F on the course of the Des Moines Marathon is reserved for Girl Scouts to volunteer. There is a sign up on the website for the IMT Des Moines marathon. Please sign up directly on the website. Click the link and scroll down to Water Station F – Girl Scouts.

Volunteer duties include setting up a hydration station, tables, cups, and trash area. Cups should be filled with water for runners as they pass by the aid station. Additional cups of water must be filled, while used cups from runners must be swept away and placed in trash receptacles. Communication with race officials to request other aid station supplies before they are needed is crucial. A teardown of the hydration station is necessary following the last runner. Some heavy lifting may be required.
