Wilderness First Aid Training Weekend

Fri, Apr 10 @ 6:00 pm

In partnership with the American Red Cross, we offer a Wilderness First Aid training option for volunteers as an add on to our CPR/First aid program. To complete this course, you must first have the CPR Certification completed. Designed for volunteers, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Topics include primary and secondary assessments, heat related emergencies, hypothermia, allergies and anaphylaxis, burns, bone and joint injuries and wound care.

Prerequisites: Must hold current adult CPR/AED certification.

For this in-person weekend-long session, we will learn from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. Please be prepared to spend some time sitting or lying on the floor/ground. We will make the best efforts to complete most of this training outdoors so please be sure plan accordingly. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Wilderness First Aid valid for two years.

Registration closes 3/27/2026
